Jan 11, 2008· On a Bridgeport, you need to drop the spindle out of the quill but not all the way. Loosen the set screw on the back of the quill at the bottom and remove the bottom retainer. The quill should fall out at least part way. Put some wood blocks under it on the table. There is set screw hole in the spindle where the locator goes.
